  1. Hi! I love your comic strip. They should have included instagram and pinterest into their strip now too. They are becoming just as big as twitter and facebook. I love twitter's response that it is ADD (basically). By the way, I'm impressed that you teach the elementary level. I teach high school. I wouldn't be able to do any younger.

    1. LOL, I couldn't imagine teaching high school (or middle) school! I can’t even handle 5th grade attitudes!!! I guess we all have our niche. :) Pinterest is fast becoming the addiction of choice in my school, lol.

  2. Funny. I spend part of my work day in IT trying to determine what post I make on behalf of an institution will create the most engagement. I stalk for likes, comments and shares, retweets, favorites, replies and pins.

  3. Kasondra, I agree, I am also addicted to Pinterest. It's my go to for lesson plan ideas!

  4. 2nd grade! That's impressive. I did an after school workshop with elementary school kids once.... it was only an hour and half session (and I had at least two other adults with me), I was exhausted!! I remember driving home feeling like a zombie each time.

I just read an article about how the typical teenage girl joins and rejoins several social networking sites over the course of a year... this was my favorite quote: "Fourteen-year-old Casey Schwartz has ditched more social networking services than most people her parents’ age have joined." So many sites, so little time!! Here's the article (in case your interested): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/23/teen-iphone_n_3322095.html?utm_hp_ref=technology

  6. Nice to meet you Kasondra! I really liked the video you chose for the definition of being literate in the 21st century. It's so true that the term literacy is being redefined. Nice choice in video representing that!

  7. Our backgrounds do match! Love the comic- how funny; still behind the time and haven't really jumped on the twitter bandwagon yet #ihatelimitingmycharacters
